The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
